Turkey Spiel - December 13th
second year in a row! Many festive and/or ugly Christmas sweaters and pjs made appearances,
as well as Mrs. Clause and the Grinch! The annual turkey shoot (no birds were harmed,
promise!) provided many cheers and groans as rocks slid past or ricocheted into the turkey at
centre ice. For those that have never seen the turkey shoot, a frozen turkey is placed at the
approximate centre of the 4 sheets, and players aim 2 rocks each at the turkey, with the rock
closest to the turkey’s final position wins the turkey.

Another successful Hear Well Be Well St. Paddy’s Day Bonspiel was held Saturday March 14 th
at Huntsville Curling Club, with 64 curlers taking to the ice, many in Irish-themed costumes.

event, they also had two staff, Michelle and Jotham, on hand all day, ready to speak with
curlers and volunteers about hearing concerns. In addition, for anyone who booked a
hearing test because of the bonspiel, Hear Well Be Well will donate $50 to the club.
